Purpose of the Advisory Board

The members of the Advisory Board review Fischer | Konrad GmbH’s existing business models and products and give recommendations for potential enhancements and strategies.

Members

Dr. Bertram Layer, Kirchdörfer & Lorz Dr. Bertram Layer is a Partner at the law firm Hennerkes, Kirchdörfer & Lorz and also holds several supervisory board offices. After a business degree at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg he joined a prestigious tax advisory and auditing firm where he was appointed managing director and branch manager. From his prior experience, Bertram Layer has wide-ranging practical expertise in corporate valuation.
Dr. Harald Krehl, DATEV eG In his capacity as Head of Department in the Business Issues Competence Centre at DATEV eG, Harald Krehl serves among other duties as the main point of contact for all questions of corporate valuation. This includes both the valuation of potential acquisition targets and the conceptual design of business valuation software used by members of DATEV eG.
Dr. Michael Hau, DATEV eG Dr. Michael Hau advises companies – primarily in the context of M&A and restructuring – on finances, accounting and financial control. He was previously CFO at a mid-cap German public limited company. After graduating in economics he completed his doctorate at the Institute of Business Computing under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. P. Mertens, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. There followed several years at DATEV eG in Nuremberg, culminating in a post as head of department in charge, among other things, of bank-related services.
Dr. Michael Munsch, Creditreform Rating AG Dr. Michael Munsch is CEO of Creditreform Rating AG. After studying finance at FOM University of Applied Sciences in Essen, Michael Munsch completed his doctorate in international financial risk management and worked in corporate account management at a major bank. He subsequently moved to the finance department of an international group and then to the central risk management department at Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V., where he was appointed to executive management. Based on his experience, Michael Munsch has outstanding expertise in corporate credit and risk assessment.
Dr. Uwe Kehrel, WWU Münster Dr. Uwe Kehrel is Akademischer Rat (AkadR; academic position with civil servant status) at the University of Münster Institute of Business Administration (FB12; faculty 12), where he also gained his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.). He gathered practical experience as controller and project manager at the Centre for Clinical Trials, University Hospital Münster (UKM), and as external consultant. His research focus is on valuation in the liberal professions (primarily the medical professions) and in the development of rating models for this professional group.
Dr. Felix Streitferdt, Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg-Simon-Ohm Prof. Dr. Felix Streitferdt is in charge of the international finance and business mathematics subject area at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg-Simon-Ohm. After graduating in business, he completed his doctorate there under Prof. Dr. Peter Nippel. He subsequently worked as investment manager in the Office of the Board Staff (Vorstandsstab) at Allianz SE, where he was primarily responsible for corporate valuation matters. Felix Streitferdt is the author of several publications on practical and theoretical aspects of business valuation. Alongside corporate valuation, his current focus of research is mainly on corporate finance and derivatives. Outside of his main employment, Streitferdt also serves as an independent valuation expert.
Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg-Simon-Ohm
Prof. Dr. Josef K. Fischer, born in 1950, completed his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in 1979 and was research associate at the Department of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). Since 1991, he has been Professor of Finances and Economics at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg-Simon-Ohm; his work focuses on corporate finance, financial, bank and investment management, and micro and macroeconomics. He has also supervised exam courses for auditors for AOK Bayern, Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the German Insurance Academy (DVA) as part of a training course in business administration for insurance (Versicherungsbetriebswirt). He is member of the DVFA Rating Standards Committee and its expert group on mezzanine finance and balance sheet rating. He has published numerous articles in professional journals and is sought after as a speaker and seminar leader. He is also academic director of postgraduate Rating Analyst and Restructuring Manager courses at the Management Institute of Technische Hochschule Nürnberg.
Iovos Stefan Prestel is a German public auditor (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and tax adviser (Steuerberater) and since 2006 has been Managing Partner in IOVOS legal * tax * audit * consult. After studying business at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Aarhus School of Business (Denmark) and the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Prestel worked for eight years at an international tax advisory and auditing firm. His work focused on tax and management consulting for mid-cap groups of companies and their shareholders. In the process, he gained extensive practical experience in business valuation and in consulting on corporate transactions.
Institut für betriebswirtschaftliches Management Prof. Dr. Jens Leker is Managing Director of the University of Münster Institute of Business Administration (FB12; faculty 12). He is Chairman of the DVFA Rating Standards Committee and Academic Director of the DVFA Credit Analyst training course. Jens Leker is a member of the Consulting Committee to the FinanzBetrieb journal and also writes and peer reviews for other periodicals. His work combines theory and practice through research cooperation with numerous banks and companies.
